Iceberg Lettuce. Bananas. Cheese on Cheese Sandwich Crackers. All-You-Can-Eat Buffets.
They all are roommates in the gross-me-out section of my brain.
Granted- I will occasionally visit an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet if I am in an extremely good mood and I am asked to go by a friend or family member. I am flexible. Sometimes. But All-I-Can-Eat will then consist of mainly bread. Why? Three words. Sneeze Guard Failure. I’ve seen it happen, people. Those guards are not guarding.
On the other hand I am a fan of a good All-You-Can-Eat without the buffet. Especially when it involves Sushi. Kang’s Sushi.

On TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS from 5 to 9 PM, Kang’s serves All-You-Can-Eat Sushi for $15.99! This is a great deal if all you want to eat is sushi and you can eat more than 2 rolls.
From the outside, Kang’s looks like any other Asian restaurant in a mini strip mall style building. But walk inside and you are transported.

The decor is very sleek & modern. There is a full bar with some sake selections. Dimly lit with bright red accents. This is not your normal fake plastic flower on your table Asian restaurant.

My sister’s family met us there and the adults all decided to order the AYCE Sushi {$15.99 each}.
If there is a downside to Kang’s, it would be the lack of a Kids Menu. All they offer for kids are child sized portions of Lo Mein or Sweet & Sour Chicken (which was HUGE- my boys shared 1 order of chicken).
My youngest shares my love for all things hot & sour- so he also ate this:

Hot & Sour Soup {$2.95}. It was delicious. Of course. I have not yet met a Hot & Sour Soup I don’t like.

You can start with 2 rolls per person for the AYCE. I chose the Godzilla {yellowtail with green onion, spicy mayo, eel sauce, green onion, masago, tempura} and the Lady Love {salmon, masago, lemon, green onion}.
Normally the Godzilla is priced $9.45 & the Lady Love is $5.95– so I am already pretty much breaking even with the $15.99 AYCE price on these 2 rolls alone.
My 2nd round, which I did not get a picture of because I was happily occupied eating my sushi, consisted of the Crazy Cajun {crawfish, yellowtail, spicy mayo, masago, eel sauce, and I can’t remember the rest}. It was my favorite. So good! And at the normal $12.50 price tag for the Crazy Cajun, I was now waaaay ahead on my special AYCE pricing.
For all you non-sushi folks, Kang’s also serves a full Asian Bistro style menu. My mouth was watering over the Beijing Crispy Shrimp, Willow Thai Beef, Five Spice Quail, Pad Thai, & Scallop Drops. On our previous trips to Kang’s, I would order the sushi and the hubs would order some sort of beef dish. But because of my try, try again attitude with the hubs and his adventurous eating… he is now a full sushi convert. I even have him ordering the raw rolls! He is so daring!
Give Kang’s a try! You won’t be sorry!
*Don’t forget! AYCE sushi is ONLY Tues. & Wed. from 5-9 PM.
Side note: I don’t recommend you stuff spicy tuna rolls in your pockets and save them for later. Even if they are AYCE. Just in case you’re wondering.

You are absolutely right – Kang’s is incredible! I’ve been back a few times, and always leave with an even greater impression of the place. I’m a food nerd.
