That’s right people, MamaFoodie is on a diet.
I’ve never been on a diet before, so it’s a whole new world for me.
Yesterday I saw some high school girls playing volleyball in bikinis and I smirked– knowing they too would someday be in their 30’s, having birthed 2 children, & remembering the days they wore a size zero capri pant.
It is killing me! BUT I must sport my own swimsuit in a few weeks, so I am giving this diet thing a whirl.
Don’t worry I will be back shortly– with some delicious and figure friendly dishes! (and I might throw some not so figure friendly ones in there too– just to test my will power).
Welcome to the adult woman’s delemma! You are now an offical card-carring, normal, hungry woman. Your mother, along with most of the population of the world, has been living in this hungry state of affairs for most of her life. I’m sorry you are finally feeling the pressure others of us have felt for decades. As with all trials you face, I wear an obligingly sad face because you have to go through this, but in a tiny part of the corner of my “Mother!” years of raising you and your sister, I feal a little warm “I told you so,” smile.
Sorry but your mom is, after all, human.
